How long should I rinse my hair after I shampoo?

Rinsing hair well after shampooing is important. The average time is 60-90 seconds, but two minutes is probably better and thorough rinsing may take longer if hair is very thick or long. Hair should not feel like it is coated. It is best to rinse hair with the water flowing in the direction of your cuticle, not against it-head is held back and water flows from forehead to back.

How should I treat my hair after I shampoo it?

Gentle handling of the hair after shampooing is important in maintaining healthy hair. After washing you need to blot the hair, don't rub the hair dry. Rubbing can cause tangling and even breakage of brittle hair. After your hair dries or when it is damp, comb hair with a wide-tooth comb, holding sections of hair to gently comb through tangles.

What temperature should the water be when I rinse my hair after shampooing?

The temperature should be determined by what you want to achieve. A cool water rinse helps close the cuticle, which makes the hair feel smoother and look shinier. If hair tends to get oily quickly, cool or tepid water is recommended. Luke warm water stimulates oil production, so if your hair is dry, you may want to use Luke warm water instead of cool water. Remember never to apply anything hot to the hair, always wash hair with luke-warm water or cold water.

If my hair has a squeaky feeling when I shampoo my hair, does this mean it is clean?

A squeaky clean feel usually indicates that oils have been removed from the hair. However, it alsomay indicate a raised hair cuticle. Rely on a thorough rinsing ratherthan that squeaky clean feeling.

What can we do for Earth Day? Raising awareness is always a good thing, but actions make words meaningful. From easy no cost money saving strategies here are is a list to help you make the transition to a Greener world.
Reduce and reuse wherever possible. Eliminate unnecessary photocopying and encourage e-mailing. Use spell check and proofread before you print or copy. Print double sided whenever possible. Use digital storage solutions to cut down on paper. Set up an area to store and exchange reusable office supplies.
Recycle everything you no longer need, from paper to packaging. Recycle fluorescent bulbs properly to prevent hazardous mercury from entering the environment. Make sure you properly dispose of items you can't reuse or recycle.

Start a carpool, walk, bike, or use mass transportation instead of driving. Teleconference instead of travel.

Unplug technology when it's not in use. Up to 75 percent of the electricity used to power office equipment is consumed while the product is turned off but still plugged in.

If possible, take the stairs instead of using the elevator.
